Digital Asset Classifications
As per the Digital Assets Act of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC), which categorizes digital assets into two classifications based on asset consideration guidelines, Binance TH by Gulf Binance aligns its digital asset offerings into two categories: cryptocurrency and digital token, following SEC guidelines. The definitions are outlined below:
Cryptocurrency: This denotes an electronic data unit generated on an electronic system or network, functioning as a medium for exchanging products, services, or other rights, or for trading between digital assets. The term "cryptocurrency" also encompasses other electronic data units as specified by the SEC.
Digital Token: This refers to an electronic data unit created on an electronic system or network, serving the following purposes:
Determining a person's rights to invest in a project or business.
Determining a person's rights to acquire products, services, or other specified rights as agreed upon by the token issuer and the token holder, along with other rights specified by the SEC.
