What is the Second Document?
To ensure the security and compliance of our platform, Binance TH requires users to provide a second document for account verification. This second document must be a government-issued ID. Below are the acceptable forms of identification and their descriptions:
ID Card
An ID card, also known as a national identity card, is an official document issued by the government to its citizens. It typically contains the holder's photograph, full name, date of birth, and a unique identification number. The ID card serves as proof of identity and citizenship and is used for various purposes, including voting, accessing government services, and verifying identity in financial transactions.
Requirements: The ID card must be the user’s own national identity card and may be issued in any language.
Driver's License
A driver's license is an official document that permits an individual to operate one or more types of motorized vehicles, such as motorcycles, cars, trucks, or buses, on public roads. Issued by the government, a driver's license includes the holder's photograph, full name, date of birth, and a unique license number. In addition to serving as proof of the holder's driving qualifications, a driver's license is widely accepted as a form of identification for various purposes, including financial transactions and accessing services.
Requirements: Driver’s licenses issued by any country and in any language are acceptable.
Thai Residence Permit
A Thai Residence Permit, also known as a Certificate of Residence, is an official document issued by the Thai Immigration Bureau to foreign nationals residing in Thailand. It typically contains personal information, registered residential address, and the official seal of the issuing authority.
Requirements: Only the Thai Residence Certificate issued in the form of ‘a White Book’ is acceptable.
Work Permit
A Work Permit is an official authorization issued by the Thai Ministry of Labour that allows a foreign national to engage in lawful employment within Thailand. The document typically includes the holder’s personal details, job title, description of duties, employer information, the name of the Thai company with which the individual is employed, and the validity period of the permit. It serves as both legal proof of the individual’s right to work and a license to perform occupations permitted for foreigners under Thai law.
Requirements: Only work permits issued in the format of ‘a plastic card’ or ‘a physical booklet’ with an extension page are acceptable.
Non-Thai Identification Card (Pink card)
A Non-Thai Identification Card, or Pink Card, is an official ID issued by the Thai government to migrant workers of Cambodian, Lao, and Myanmar nationalities residing or legally employed in Thailand. It serves as proof of the holder’s registered identity and legal residence status and is issued in plastic card format with a pink front, containing the holder’s personal details, photograph, and validity dates.
Overseas Worker ID card (only for Myanmar nationality)
An Overseas Worker Identification Card (OWIC) is an official ID issued exclusively to Myanmar nationals who are employed overseas by the Ministry of Labour and Immigration of Myanmar. For workers in Thailand, it serves as proof of legal overseas worker registration and authorized employment, containing the holder’s personal and official verification details.
To be accepted for verification, the full name and date of birth displayed on the second document must correspond exactly to the information on the passport. In addition, the second document must clearly display a validity date and must be valid (not expired) at the time of submission.
